(I saw through him in his first run, in 2000, and saw through the voters who re-elected him in 2004.) And McCain's picking of Palin did not hurt his candidacy, his inept handling of the sudden economic "emergency" did him in (as it has done in everyone else, in terms of my opinion of them, since). People with true character respond positively to Sarah Palin, but there is no character in the media, and they all acted like Democratic hacks (even Bill O'Reilly), practically demanding the anointing of Barack Obama. They treated Hillary Clinton as shoddily as they treated the Republicans. The electorate showed that only about 20% of them have real character, and can decide on that basis. Barack Obama was shown early on to be empty as a leader, and a self-serving liar (in the Rev. Wright episode, quickly hushed up and hurried past by all), but it was above all the electorate playing make-believe, and they got what they asked for: an empty fantasy. The very fact that Obama has not been laughed off the stage in every conversation, or impeached, is proof that the electorate and the media have learned nothing from the dismal reality of Obama's morally condescending pretend-Presidency. This country continues to show that it cannot get behind a competent and moral leader -- Donald Trump is a bullying braggart, and his political popularity shows that too many of the American people are still engaging in wishful thinking, that simply overlooks the harsh reality of their own bad judgment. I think Sarah Palin is the "best man for the job" in 2012, but the country is obviously not worthy of her, and I would not wish the Presidency of this morally divided United States on her.Harry Dale Huffmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03210275295826050501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196554259323465442.post-64274405125888243852011-04-22T06:42:24.542-07:002011-04-22T06:42:24.542-07:00@Larry:

She was drawing much larger crowds than the turncoat "Republican" John McCain, a member of the liberal intelligentsia if I ever saw one,so she was silenced by the RNA.<br /><br />Since Palin has personal integrity and a strong sense of personal ethics, she is feared by the Republican, Democrat and other lying and corrupt political establishments.<br /><br />Few people indeed actually desire freedom, as having freedom brings the need for personal ethics and responsibility. The vast majority of people wish to impose their belief systems on others.<br /><br />Obama is a completely made-up-by-media faux personality. He is no orator, simply an excellent reader of a telepromptor. A ventriloquist's dummy, ala Charlie McCarthy or Mortimer Snerd.<br /><br />Obama is a girly man, and will only be defeated come election time by a bare knuckle fighter.<br /><br />I know you are against Donald Trump, Alan, but only an excellent self promoter with intelligent hired hands can defeat Obama.<br /><br />Since "The Donald" is worth more than 7 billion dollars, he would more than likely make a valiant effort to protect his investments, which would mean getting nitwit "economists" out of formulating fiscal policy, and actually taking action to improve the American economy. Mere preaching isn't going to work, and many heads of federal departments need to have said to them "you're fired."<br /><br />I would love to have as president a manly man who would promote the United States of America for a change, and stand for the economic interests of the US of A. I think the MSM deliberately destroyed the Bush administration with continuous media attacks so that Obama could be hailed the new hero and be voted in easily - even though he had no track record to speak of. Whoever masterminded this whole episode did a good job (? Soros et al). It's up to the people of the USA to learn the hard lesson Obama has taught them and to stop being so gullible. Let's hope he's voted out in 2012 and that a respectable conservative who is willing to be extremely tough is voted in - I suggest Allan West because he's not scared of the PC brigade. Good luck because America is going to need it.Lime Litehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15062140213877618320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196554259323465442.post-9545371255027268752011-04-21T18:37:25.240-07:002011-04-21T18:37:25.240-07:00I should hope that this would give us insight as t...I should hope that this would give us insight as to just how highly we are being manipulated by the PTBs, the media, organized labor and the educational system in this country.<br /><br />There is hope, but only if we allow ourselves to believe and act upon, what seems too preposterous.
