Caruba's Busted Clavicle

Last night I did what a lot of old men do. I fell down. I busted the clavicle in the area of my left shoulder. Ice packs. Pain pills. Etc. So things may slow down a bit after I run out of the posts that are already written.

Good thing this happened before Obamacare kicked in.

Updates will follow as I recover; a process that is likely to take two or three weeks.

  6. Sure do hate to hear that Mr. Alan. Cracked mine a few times, can sort of feel your pain.
    Get Well Soon Sir !!
Yep, under O-Care they would assign you a worker, who would then recommend to a "panel" on whether to fix you up....or...put you out of their misery.

Guy's right about the Aleve and Whiskey - too bad the combo will wreck your stomach after awhile.

  10. Better cancel your winter sports programme, Alan, and parkup the snow ski.
Sorry to hear of your pain - a hot toddy made with a good cognac is sure to assuage the pain.
Get well soon - and don't count the bottles!

  11. Thank you, one and all. It is around 8 PM as I write this. I am am feeling much better already. The pain pills are remarkable, allowing for a bit of normalacy. A good night's sleep should put me on the path to full recovery.

  13. "Last night I did what a lot of old men do" ... and this morning you did what a lot of old men do - got up and went back to work, albeit briefly. Thanks for letting us know and take a break (old men do that too!). Get better at JUST the right pace, ....

  20. Perhaps this will give you a little solace, and perhaps even a good (but hopefully not to painful) laugh.

It seems that after he left you old Joe Btfsplk paid a visit to the Greenies at "Sea Predator," uh, I mean "Sea Shepherd."

Invincible speed boat ramming Japanese ship FAIL!

And, in other Greenie comeuppance news. (not as ammusing, but still somewhat satisfying)

  21. ytba: It's about time someone fought back against the Greenies!

    Wonderful links! Thanks.
