Last night I did what a lot of old men do. I fell down. I busted the clavicle in the area of my left shoulder. Ice packs. Pain pills. Etc. So things may slow down a bit after I run out of the posts that are already written.
Good thing this happened before Obamacare kicked in.
Updates will follow as I recover; a process that is likely to take two or three weeks.
Dang it! So sorry to hear your news, Alan. My wife and I will say a prayer for your fast recovery. Take some time and coast for a little bit. You're my best source of being grounded in truth.
ReplyDeleteYou be careful young man.I'll see you on facebook.
ReplyDeleteTake care to heal correctly, Alan. We need you.
ReplyDeletePlease do not accept any invitations to interview with any government panels or investigatory boards.
Ouch! Good luck with your recovery. A little Aleve and Whiskey does wonders ... I know! I blew my back out splitting firewood this year, and it did wonders for me.....
ReplyDeletePlease G-d you will speedily get well, and not have any more mishaps, great OR small.
ReplyDeleteSure do hate to hear that Mr. Alan. Cracked mine a few times, can sort of feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteGet Well Soon Sir !!
Yep, under O-Care they would assign you a worker, who would then recommend to a "panel" on whether to fix you up....or...put you out of their misery.
I appreciate your prayer and added one or two of my own.
ReplyDeleteHope you get to feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteGuy's right about the Aleve and Whiskey - too bad the combo will wreck your stomach after awhile.
Take care of yourself and heal as quickly as possible!! I so enjoy reading your stuff!!!!
ReplyDeleteBetter cancel your winter sports programme, Alan, and parkup the snow ski.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your pain - a hot toddy made with a good cognac is sure to assuage the pain.
Get well soon - and don't count the bottles!
Thank you, one and all. It is around 8 PM as I write this. I am am feeling much better already. The pain pills are remarkable, allowing for a bit of normalacy. A good night's sleep should put me on the path to full recovery.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon.
ReplyDeleteGet Well Soon! My prayers added to all the others. Was this so you could empathize with Rush? :)
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You!

"Last night I did what a lot of old men do" ... and this morning you did what a lot of old men do - got up and went back to work, albeit briefly. Thanks for letting us know and take a break (old men do that too!). Get better at JUST the right pace, ....
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, Alan. We need your insights like an apple a day to keep the liberals away.
ReplyDeleteHire you a secretary, dictate and let her post the stuff that needs to get out there...
ReplyDeleteGet well soon!
Dangme! Bet that smarts. This gettin old stuff is notta a lotta fun, but as Sinatra said, "that's life". Will hoist one tonite for your full, and speedy recovery.

Thank you everyone...am resting and healing...it will take about two weeks or so to be fully recovered.
ReplyDeleteOuch. Sorry to hear. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeletePerhaps this will give you a little solace, and perhaps even a good (but hopefully not to painful) laugh.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that after he left you old Joe Btfsplk paid a visit to the Greenies at "Sea Predator," uh, I mean "Sea Shepherd."
Invincible speed boat ramming Japanese ship FAIL!
And, in other Greenie comeuppance news. (not as ammusing, but still somewhat satisfying)
ytba: It's about time someone fought back against the Greenies!
ReplyDeleteWonderful links! Thanks.
Oh no! Get well fast Alan!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the fall. Best wishes for a quick recovery!
