OK, so this means that Republicans do not know the meaning of a simple, commonly used word as iconography. Something used very often in Judeo-Christian terminology and is quite common among most Christian religions.
The term is used all of the time, constantly in referencing many different things, most notably religion.
That the Conservatives do not know a term most commonly used to describe many religious practices even though it is common knowlege that many Republicans consider themselves to be both religious and Christians astounds me.
The fact that the narrator needed to explain to conservatives in simple, third grader terms was even more confusing.
But then, that is just my opinion, outside of a political perspective, just coming from a logical reaction. Now from a liberal prospective, I could be stereotypical, but I decided not to.
