Oh What a Beautiful Morning
For those born after the era of Rogers and Hammerstein, creators of great Broadway shows like "Oklahoma", here's the wonderful singer, Gordon Macrea, giving voice to its opening song.
Good idea. In my youth, I attended matinee performances of most of the great Broadway shows of the 50s and 60s, so I have a particular fondness for them.
Unlike much of today's "music" the songs of that period had great melodies and lyrics.
Alan,
ReplyDeleteThose really were the shining times. Perhpas you could consider linking one from the greatest Broadway production ever.... Camelot.
