Meanwhile, Obama is out and about on his "rock the vote" tour, on our dime of course. He's stopping in Ohio ... specifically the city of Columbus, in the neighborhood of Clintonville, which just happens to be the neighborhood I've lived in for over 20 years.
Apparently, one of my leftist neighbors is hosting a little back yard discussion on the economy. That's Orwellian double-speak for a fundraiser ...
Of course, I'm not invited, even though I'm a member of the local business community and I own a home there. I had really hoped to sell it last year, but sadly, I couldn't sell it in this economy without giving it away, so like it or not, I'm stuck there for a while. I'd really love to get the chance to thank him personally for that...
It's not like I'd really want to be anywhere near the fawning crowd of boot-lickers he'll draw, but I'd go if they were stupid enough to invite me. There's always a chance that I could find a way to get my two-cents-worth in.
It's not likely though. People with opinions like mine will not be very welcome there. I'm an over-taxed, bitter-clinging CCW permit holding registered Republican, and I'm certainly not a potential campaign donor, so I'd never get past his screeners...
