Obama certainly promised that under his watch, carbon based fuel costs would "skyrocket", and so they have.
I read recently that an average of households are spending 9% of the household budget on auto fuel cost.
The scientific folly of "carbon dioxide is bad" is hitting everyone in their purses now, and it will continue to do so for a good long while.
The real "trend" in the US has been less and less real science being taught in our school systems, both government and private. It has become close to terminal pseudoscience as of late.
LarryOldtimer is right. This was all completely predictable...and now the "hope and change" crowd is shocked. You just can't fix stupid...at least until reality hits the gas pumps. The price of gasoline is the beginning of wisdom!
