I heard it
on ABC radio’s Geraldo Rivera show. Commenting on the Zimmerman trial and,
specifically about the lawyers representing the Martin family, a white woman
said “I would never hire a black lawyer” because she felt they ignored the
facts in the case following the acquittal.
Also on
Tuesday, when Rush Limbaugh opened his show he dwelt at length about a CNN
interview with Trayvon Martin’s friend, Rachel Jeantel, and her definition of
“creepy ass cracka”, which she explained is spelled with an “a”, not with “er”.
Thereafter, he devoted much of the first hour to defending Zimmerman and
decrying the way the media tried to lynch him.
Over at
AmericanThinker.com, Jeannie DeAngelis, after the obligatory statement that
Trayvon’s death was a tragedy, tore into him and other black youths, saying “Instead
of blaming racism for profiling a black kid…how about placing the blame at the
feet of all black youth, like Trayvon, whose behavior on other occasions causes
suspicion to be focused in the general direction of perfectly innocent black
teenage youth?”
It’s worth
noting that the gated community where George Zimmerman was a volunteer
neighborhood watch participant had been subject to a number of break-ins and
robberies. You don’t organize a neighborhood watch if there is nothing to
watch.
Then DeAngelis
put the pedal to the metal citing FBI and other authoritative sources for
statistics about black-on-black crime and for the high rate of abortion, 36%,
among blacks despite the fact that they constitute only 13% of the total
population. She wasn’t too happy with the first black President of the U.S.,
who, she said, “sheds tears over murdered children, but it’s always attached to
advancing a specific political agenda.”
Across the
blogosphere, other white commentators were shedding political correctness to
express what, in their view, reflected the largely unexpressed general views of
white people in America.
A friend
and fellow blogger put it this way: “Nothing much has
changed since (emancipation). The only thing of substance that has changed
is that now, rather than being thankful for freedom, the descendants of those
freed slaves, despise white Americans for, as I believe they see it, forcing them to feel beholden to
white America.”
"Understand: There will never be an open and honest debate in America about black and white racism. Never. Neither side can handle the truth…neither side will face the truth and neither side wants the debate.”
“White America is fed up. We long since gave up the notion that the black community wanted equality and justice. White America is now convinced that black America wants nothing less than to punish white Americans for something for which they—today’s white Americans—bear no guilt.”

I disagree
in one respect. Thanks to the Zimmerman trial and all the discussion that has
followed in its wake, Americans are debating black and white racism.
Indeed,
for many whites, the notion that blacks can be racist has come as a revelation.
Whites have been conditioned to see blacks as victims of a society in which
they are at a disadvantage because of their skin color. No doubt many blacks
share this view, but despite the horrid statistics about blacks in America,
there has been a growing middle class that has been invisible for decades, along
with a cohort of professionals in medicine, law and other fields. Ironically,
many have become law enforcement officers—police!
Black
achievers have become visible in America and, for the race hustlers like Rev.
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, much of what they say now sounds increasingly
hollow, self-serving and false to whites. Sharpton is busy trying to drum up
more protests around the nation in the same way he inserted himself early into
the Zimmerman debate, urging criminal charges be brought.
The
ultimate achiever, of course, is the President of the United States, Barack
Hussein Obama. Never mind that he is half white. Obama has always embraced his
black half and made no excuses for it. It is worth keeping in mind that he
could not have been elected and reelected without a lot of white votes, as well
as those from the Hispanic community. He obviously had 98% of the black votes.
Most
certainly no other President could have ever said, “If I had a son he would
look like Trayvon”, thus insinuating himself into the trial even before it
began. In the wake of the verdict, he still could not urge peaceful protests
without pushing his anti-gun agenda. Trayvon got himself killed by attacking
George Zimmerman, by punching him, by pummeling his head into the concrete.
That’s what the jury concluded “so say all of us.”
Someone
should remind Attorney General Eric Holder of that.
The
question I do not hear anyone in the media asking or answering is “Who is
organizing the protests” that we’ve seen in cities around the nation? Who got
all those people to show up in the same place at the same time? One of the
groups is the Freedom Socialist Party and another is the International Action Center that describes itself as “anti-capitalist” and “anti-imperialist.” It is
just one of many whose “community organizers” are quite adept at this and which,
like the President, are acolytes of Saul Alinski, the Communist who dedicated
his book, “Rules for Radicals”, to Lucifer.
So, not
only did Trayvon get himself killed, but the trial has sparked one of the most
open and lively discussions of race in America that has occurred since Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous speech; only this time, contrary to
what my fellow blogger believes, whites are saying and writing what they really think.

This entire debacle was nothing more than a *made for TV* travesty.
ReplyDeleteIt has allowed the RACE BAITERS and RACE PIMPS a new platform from which they can sell their product, hatred.. That's all they have..
This isn't the 1960'2, no one is afraid of people because they are Black, the playing field is level and the *prize* is available to ALL of us..
You just have to have the *huevos* to go after it..
Fred, you and I are in agreement. The race hustlers and the media have ginned this up. More black youngsters have been killed in Chicago the past week or so than this single case in Sanford, FL a year ago. It's only about race because some in government, the media, and the "community organizers" want to make it that.
ReplyDeleteRon: My first cousin and I are very close...but he is a liberal and a Democrat. We never talk politics, race, etc!
ReplyDeleteI was listening to Bob Beckel explain today how the black community is angry and so they see all whites as "crackas." As I thought about it I could not help wondering why it is considered anger in the black community, but similar epithets are regarded as hatred in the white community. The conclusion I came to was not what Beckel might have thought. Both anger and hatred are being shown by some folks on both sides of the issue. At the end of the day we will never know what happened. At this point only Zimmerman knows for sure and he has been fairly consistent in his story.
ReplyDeleteSo, black and white racism both exist. The difference is that one is called anger and the other is called hatred by the leftist elite. Whatever we call it, Sharpton and company have successfully stirred it up all around.
Obama and his ilk (alinskyites) are getting what they want into sowing the seeds of racial hatred. It is not by mistake. Liberals label Zimmerman white, then white Hispanic while Zimmerman self identifies as Hispanic. Whatever happened to the freedom to self identify as golden (i.e., a woman identifying as a man or vice versa; being gay, etc)? No, they want to divide and conquer. Hell this whole Travon thing has even divided the MLK family as Corretta Scott King is calling for calm and to end the race bating while MLK III is marching at Al Sharpton's side in Florida. MLK is probably rolling over in his grave when he sees a Hispanic being called white and labeled racist and being judged by the color of his skin (until liberals finally get it right) and not by the content of his character.

ReplyDeleteTHE REAL REASONS FOR THE ZIMMERMAN WITCH HUNT
1. The Benghazi Massacre Coverup Scandal...
2. The NSA Scandal...
3. The IRS Scandal....
4. The Fast and Furious Scandal...
5. The Great Recession Scandal...
6. Etc, etc, etc...(Do we see a pattern here?)
"The tool of shaming and fake outrage is nothing new in American politics but its use by the present administration, especially in the Martin/Zimmerman case, have taken America to a new low. Running out of true racism cases, the Obama administration had to find a fake race outrage to divert the attention off its scandals, similar to what Islamists do when they call their opponents 'apostate.' Desperate to change the subject, by an administration engulfed in scandal, they decided to take anything even the poorest case that resembles racism."

George Zimmerman should sue the ever living crap out of MSNBC, the DOJ, the State of Florida, the prosecutor, and anyone else who participated in this travesty of justice. The fact that the DOJ is considering new charges tells me that they have no fear of being held accountable for their part in this disgraceful trial, and THAT needs to change.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ronald, I feel for you. My family has been supportive of my position on this verdict, but the number of people on social networking sites who've attacked me, called me names, and threatened me with bodily harm is astounding. They have no absolutely interest in discussing the facts of the case either. In their liberally polluted minds, a black child is dead, Zimmerman is a racist, and the system is corrupt. They're right, and I'm wrong (not to mention a lot of other really nasty things that I won't repeat here) and nothing I can say will change their minds. It's a sad day in America when emotions trump facts and law ...
ReplyDeleteI like IowaHawk's tweet
ReplyDeleteOf all the young black shooting victims in this country, you can name 1. Because you've been trained like a circus seal to bark on command.
Zimmerman is considering changing his name to "Ben Ghazi" so the Main Stream Media as well as the White will stop mentioning him.....
ReplyDeleteAlan, remember that our president stated early in his political career that he believed the Warren court did not go far enough, because they did not address the issue of REPARATIONS!
ReplyDeleteThat statement alone says all one needs to know about Obama.
