The Buck Stops Everywhere Else

By Alan Caruba

It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.

In the event that the White House has not made it perfectly clear: It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.

If, however, you have grown tired of hearing this excuse, er, reason, then you have between now and November to find a candidate of your choice to REPLACE every incumbent Representative and Senator in Congress who has ever uttered this lame excuse for the failure of Obama’s policies.

Some Obama policies and actions you might want to consider are:

Unprecedented national debt
Multi-Billion dollar bailout of General Motors and Chrysler
Multi-Billion dollar bailout of AIG
Multi-Billion Dollar job “Stimulus” Bill producing no real jobs, only “green” ones
A multitude of “czars” who were not approved by Congress
Obama’s “war” on coal
Denying exploration for oil in USA continental shelf and elsewhere
Supporting a “Cap-and-Trade” bill, a tax on all energy use
Trip to Copenhagen for Olympics in Chicago
Trip to Copenhagen to support global warming fraud
Trip to Cairo to tell Muslims America was wrong in the past
Trip to Oslo to accept an undeserved Nobel Peace Prize
Telling Americans not to “jump to conclusions” after Fort Hood murders
Waiting three days to respond to Christmas Day attempted airliner bombing
Selecting Janet Napolitano as Director of Homeland Security
Seeking to prosecute CIA operatives who interrogated enemy combatants
Authorizing a civil trial in New York City for the 9/11 mastermind
Continuing to try to close Guantanamo
Proposing an unconstitutional tax on a select group of banks
Supporting amnesty for illegal aliens
An overhaul of Medicare that would strip a half-trillion dollars from it
Exempting Nebraska, Florida, and union insurance plans from Medicare “reform”

But, remember,

It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.
It’s all George W. Bush’s fault.

  1. great pic. both parties sell one thing during election, but do something else when elected. what's new? the idea that the republican way OR the democratic way is the best route does not apply in today's world. a balance of both ideas is the right recipe. but officials cant sell themselves that way...it would be like holding god's and the devil's hand at the same time.

  2. Mario, you are correct to say that politicians make promises they may later find hard keeping.

But there is no comparison between the ethical behavior of Republicans and Democrats. Saying they are both equally bad is just not accurate.

Here's a great overview of some of what is wrong with the Left.

You should begin doing your own research, being very careful to check and double-check information. When evaluating sources of information, ask yourself how reliable they are; have you more than once been seriously misled by what they say, and have they apologized for it to their readers or pretended it wasn't their fault. If they are evasive, at least put them on your "watch list." And, if they have ever lied to you, dump them immediately.

Also, while you are correct that there needs to be balance, those who want nothing to do with the ideas of others are far more often Dems than Reps. The Dems talk a good game of bi-partisanship, but when you examine their record, it is seriously wanting. And sometimes there really are things that one mustn't compromise on.

One who holds himself to ethical standards can train himself to spot the one who pretends he does, but really doesn't.

  3. I am not saying reps' and dems' ideas are equally bad. I am saying that each party’s fundamentals no longer work in today's world. What I truly think is that a balance of both parties’ fundamentals do work, and that is evident in both party's actions as we speak. However, during election, American people are sold on the idea that red ideas are better or blue ideas are better, not both combined. And that's because the US was built on the notion that you must pick red or blue.

When our founding father created a red or blue system, it was to generate healthy competitiveness for the benefit of our society. Such separation of system does not work today. And this is evident by all the cheap tricks both parties utilize to knock down the other party’s bills and what not. It is a waste of time and money. Its gotten out of hand.

We can have an endless argument as to which party listens more. Even though am inclined towards democratic ideals, I also think rep ideas rock too. The million dollar question is: which political party will bend first?

What about merging both parties? Think it will ever happen? Think it will ever work?

  4. We can join in the finger pointing game like children on a playground, but really it is a broken system. Both Republicans and Democrats are culpable. The Executive Branch and Congress have been co-conspiring to take power away from the People for decades.

Bush made this obvious to Democrats and Obama is now making it obvious to Republicans. (I'm neither by the way).

This week, thanks to the unelected branch of government - the Supreme Court - it will only get more broken. Now who ever has the most money will win elections, not who ever has the most votes.

Under Obama I'm actually more worried about Fascism, than Communism.

Actually, our financial problems are more Clinton's fault for doing away with the Glass-Steigel act. This act had protected the People from the banks gambling with our money since the Great Depression. Getting rid of this law laid the foundation for the conditions that led to the bailout.

It is the fault of all the Presidents since Reagan that have not enforced the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. Now we have banks that supposedly are "too big to fail."

Bush just had really bad PR. He and Cheney will also have to worry about where they travel in the future, as Cheney (after he was out of office) has already admitted on TV to breaking international laws.

And even though Obama voted for it as a Senator, it was Bush that first bailed out the banks in 2008. Obama obviously took it to the next level as you have pointed out.

  5. Libertarian...Pick a freakin' side and get on it! Your attitude is that everyone's to blame so no one's do blame...look around, the nation is going down the toilet and you just want to observe from the sidelines.

  6. I don't think Libertarians is quite sure of his position, so can't pick a side. Despite the name, no libertarian would lament the demise of McCain-Feingold or Glass-Steigel, nor would they approve of the Sherman Anti-Trust act.

  7. "Libertarians" said...

"Cheney (after he was out of office) has already admitted on TV to breaking international laws."

After picking my jaw up off the floor, I only have a question, and a bit of advice for you.

Question - what bogus reference do you have for that claim, SatireWire?

Advice - stay out of the deep end of the pool, unless an adult is present.

Mario. Are you related to "Libertarians" by any chance? You worry more about "which party bends first?" What about which party is most responsive to those who elected them? What about which party is most attuned to the ideals on which America was founded, and which, if abandoned, will lead to America's destruction?

Do you have a plan other than maybe by merging together a nearly completely dysfunction group (Dems) with one that's borderline (Reps) things might get better? That's all you've got? You and Libs should both go over to the wading pool. Your making the lifeguards nervous.
