How do you pronounce it? With great difficulty, that's how. :-)
The vulcanologists have stated that the last time it blew, expulsions of material continued on an intermittent basis for a year.

Don't you just these foreign place names?
Mount St Helens was so much easier.
Try this
ay af yak lie ookootsch
ay as in bay, af as in cafe, yak the animal, lie as in bed and with that last bit there, both double o's are pronounced as in book, and the tsch is almost slurred fading out.
