Another year, another birthday. October 9th to be exact (74) and I am looking forward, not just to the big piece of chocolate cake I will thoroughly enjoy, but to another year of sharing my seven decades of experience and accumulated knowledge.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to YOU!!!!!
Mr Caruba!!!!!
May you enjoy many more!!!!
Happy Birthday Alan!
I'm always surprised when I find a blogger is around the same age as me, I tend to think of them as being younger. Not that I think of myself as old......
You're older than I am, you b****r.
Never imagined it. Not by much, tho'.
Anyway - Many Happy Returns.
Who is baking the cake, Alan? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And many, many more to come!
Who is baking you that chocolate cake, Alan? HAPPY BIRTHDAY and many, many more to come.
Glad your birthday wasn't today. Enjoy your cake!
Alan, I enjoy your blog very much! Happy Birthday and here's to many many more!!....Joe
Ligneus: I am a lot younger than most young people I know! When you have parents like mine that lived well into their 90s, the 70s still feel like you have a way to go.
To the tune of Happy Birthday...
May you live a hundred years
And drink a million beers...
Get plastered you bastard
Happy Birthday to YOU!! :)
from 47 to 74:
many happy returns.

Fred: I am deeply touched by your message, but people have been saying I am "touched" for a long time. Others just come right out and call me a right-wing screwball. Nice to have some company!
Thanks Dot.com.
A most belated Happy Birthday to you, Mr. Caruba and many more to come.
Thank you for sharing your 74 yrs of knowledge to all of us and helping us to navigate the stormy waters.
I will be 53 on the 13th of this month. October is a good month.
Have a great day!
Thank you, one and all!
Happy birthday Mr AC! Enjoy your cake as much as I enjoy reading your blog!
Alan, very many happy returns of the day, plus chocolate.
Your blog cheers me up over here in England. At least there are still some people with common sense, who are sufficiently articulate to express their views.
Happy chocolate.
